Springboard to College
We offer ABLE Charter juniors and seniors various opportunities to earn college credits
Our unique partnership allows you to:
Take free dual enrollment courses while in your junior and senior years of high school.
Earn up to two years of college credits toward an associate and/or bachelor’s degree.
Take courses with flexible class schedules: online, virtual, and in-class and save money! Students in dual enrollment courses pay $0 for tuition and books.
Receive college credits that are accredited by the WASC Senior College & University Commission and are transferrable to other colleges and universities.
Be guaranteed a California State University (CSU) tuition-match and completion of bachelor’s degree in 4 years.
Dual Enrollment
ABLE juniors and seniors can get a head start at Humphreys University by taking dual enrollment courses. Earn up to two years of credit toward your bachelor degree. Students may take courses during all four academic quarters–including summer quarter.
How to Apply
1) Submit a Dual Enrollment Admissions Application. It’s free for ABLE students!
2) Take the reading, writing, and math placement tests. Study guides are available.
Please take your time studying for the exams as minimum scores are required to take dual enrollment courses. You may retake the exams if you do not meet entry/college level scores. Each test is approx. 40 minutes, you may schedule them individually or in one session. Testing offered on campus in the Humphreys University Library or remotely via Zoom.
Testing dates/times:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Contact Amit Kumar to schedule your exams: amit.kumar@humphreys.edu
Special Programs Coordinator, April Huerta, will receive your scores immediately after completion and will email you to review them.
3) Obtain approval from ABLE Charter counselor to enroll in courses.
