Humphreys University Safety and Security focuses on providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and campus visitors.

The mission of Safety and Security is to provide professional and courteous service in order to protect the safety and security of all members of the University community, including students, faculty, and staff who seek a safe learning and working environment. We strive to achieve this through a community-friendly approach that includes visibility of security personnel, preventive patrols, and easy accessibility.

Our department’s mandate is to support the University in its mission by providing exceptional services that promote a safe and well-ordered environment for our community. We aspire to carry out our mission in a compassionate manner guided by the following values: respect, integrity, service and excellence.

Efforts to keep Humphreys University a safe and non-threatening environment cannot be left solely to Campus Maintenance and Security staff and other University officials. Safety is a responsibility shared by all of us. We pledge that we will do everything possible to preserve a safe and enjoyable environment at Humphreys University.

Provide escorts for students to parking lots or classes.

Respond to emergencies and non-life threatening situations.

Assist with helping to recover lost and found property.

Workplace Violence Prevention Program

The goal of the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) is to support a work environment in which violent or potentially violent situations are effectively addressed with a focus on prevention by increasing employee understanding of the nature of workplace violence, how to respond to it, and how to prevent it. Success in the protection of our employees requires your personal attention and, as necessary, appropriate action.

The expectation is that each employee will treat all other employees, as well as customers or clients, with courtesy and respect in our communications.

Title IX Training Materials

In compliance with 34 CFR §106.45(b)(10)(i)(D) issued by the United States Department of Education under Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972, Humphreys University has made publicly available the training materials used to train Humphreys University Title IX personnel.

Humphreys University’s Title IX Coordinator completed the Title IX & Beyond virtual training program, which contains over 12 hours of training material and is hosted by Title IX Solutions, LLC. Daily Crime Log

A daily crime log is published in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. It contains incidences of criminal activity reported to Humphreys University. The daily logs lists crime, alleged crimes, and fire incidents that occur on campus or in areas immediately adjacent to campus. The logs are available online and or by request at 209-478-0800.
