New Dean for Drivon School of Law

On behalf of the Law Steering Committee, it is my great pleasure to announce that Matthew Reynolds has been selected as the next Dean of the Drivon School of Law. Currently a Civil Legal Research Attorney with the County of Alameda, Mr. Reynolds rejoins Humphreys and the Law School on June 8, 2020, having previously been a DSOL Professor of Law and the Associate Dean from 2010 to 2019.

Mr. Reynolds is a well-regarded law instructor by students and peers, and was instrumental in developing and leading Law School policy and educational initiatives, including program assessment, teaching effectiveness, and school/program re-accreditation. He brings great ideas to DSOL regarding student success, faculty development and involvement, and program development.

Mr. Reynolds holds a juris doctor degree from the UCLA School of Law, where he was Law Review Editor, and a Bachelor’s Degree from U.C. Berkeley. Prior to working at DSOL, Reynolds was an attorney at several local law firms specializing in civil employment litigation.
